If there is a product which Dr Justin believes will benefit you, he will prescribe the medication and send it to one of our partner pharmacies. There the pharmacist will arrange payment and send you your medication via express post.

Once your appointment with Dr Justin is finished, please contact the pharmacy he has directed you to, where they will send you your medication via express post which may take 1 to 5 days to be received by you (depending where you live).

 

Medications cost vary from type and dosage. My medicines medications cost between $60 to $230 which can last you, depending on dosage and frequency, from 1 to 4 months per single prescription. All medications are posted to anywhere is Australia.

 

Dr Justin will send prescriptions to one of our pharmacies he will discuss with you.  Please contact the pharmacy where payment is arranged, and medicines are expressed post to you.

In order to be prescribed my medicines, a patient needs to have a chronic condition of more than 3 months that has not responded to conventional medications. These medicines are not suitable for patients who are pregnant or planning to be pregnant, have previous psychotic or concurrent mood or anxiety disorder, have unstable cardiovascular disease, patients with severe immunological, liver or kidney disease. Please speak to Dr Welsh to see if you are suitable to take these medications.

It is a drug-driving offence if measurable concentrations of THC are detected. Patients are advised not to drive whilst on these medications. Please speak to Dr Justin if you have any questions.

At present my medicines are not on the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme (with the exception of one). There are, however, more private health funds who are covering my for their customers. Please speak to your insurance fund to see if they cover my medicines.

All Schedule 8 prescriptions are valid for only 6 months. After this time, a Repeat Prescription Consultation must be booked to receive your next scripts.

Like all medicines, these medicines may cause side-effects, although not everyone will experience them. Patients are most likely to get side-effects when they begin their treatment. Possible side-effects include disorientation, dizziness, euphoria, confusion. If you would like to know more about side-effects, please speak to your doctor at your consultation.

 

At present, Telehealth my medicines appointments are not covered by Medicare, thus you appointment will be privately billed, but this may change in the future.
